our story
What began as a passion project has since developed into a black millennial-based organization that aims to increase local civic engagement. Founded by Shianne Winston in 2014, as her personal response to the state of the black community amidst the killings of Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown. We’ve since grown to become change agents in our local and digital communities and are committed to producing programs, projects and campaigns that spotlight and share the stories of the black community.
