THE PROGRAM
Carefully designed by women to bridge the gap between young adults, women business owners, and community members. Over the course of 10 weeks, mentees and mentors will meet weekly for facilitated workshops covering the many topics young women learn outside of school and home during their adolescent years. With sessions titled “Rock Your Crown”, mentees will experience interactive workshops, field trips, and guest speakers. Geared towards 7-15 year olds in Los Angeles County, this innovative series of sessions weave in personal development, community building, build self-esteem, leadership, personal finance, social awareness, community service, friendship and relationship building.
THE GOAL
To inspire young women to be bold, smart, courageous, and friendly. To prepare young girls as they transition into little women. To stand as a representation of togetherness and sisterhood amongst women. To bridge the gap among women in different generations. To create a self awareness campaign that transcends the connectedness and make-up of being a Queen.
