First things first, the logo was created by the one and only Ashli Brown of Get Give Grow Inc. Our Founder, Shianne Winston, was in the planning stages of a program dedicated to young women. A group of talented ladies met with for weeks to plan and create the foundation. One day she "drew" a logo and sent it to Ashli knowing that she had no drawing skills but persistent to actualizing the image God kept her. Initially, it was rejected by most (which is totally ok, we honor difference in opinions). Not only did Ashli help, but she drew an array of options and transformed it into the beauty it is.
Here are some fun facts on the design ....
1. It was finalized in 2015
2. No boxes or defined shapes, it is not meant to look like anyone
3. The lips are a heart, speak love, truth, and peace
4. The eyelashes are wings, there are endless possibilities, soar
5. The crown is cricket, no one's perfect
6. Last but not least, always remember to color outside the lines
Queen Complex is a behavior.
It is knowing who you are and acting accordingly.
It is being equipped, educated, virtuous, kind, regal, fierce, intelligent, giving, loving and serving.
Queen Complex is a declaration.
There are certain things Queens do and don't do.
The Queen Complex program that launches this Fall/Winter does just that. Through a series of workshops, the Queen Complex mentor program will equip young women in health, beauty, arts, education, personal hygiene, etiquette and much more.
